Arrests by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency have spiked in the last few weeks, with a daily average hitting 1,400 people. The pace of ICE arrests in the first 12 days of July sets the Trump administration on track to reach the highest number of arrests in a single month, the Washington Post reported. The number of people arrested and sent to detention facilities by ICE in June was 39,500, which surpasses the previous high from December. Arrests have increased every month since February.
