Dr. Jill Biden’s memoir will stoke Democrat gossip fires but provide little else of value

Have you heard from senile Joe Biden recently?

You’re forgiven if you assumed a perfunctory blank stare and shook your head in response to the query, but President Donald Trump’s predecessor has been uncharacteristically quiet of late, the cause of Democrat-dom having been taken up by much less celebrated current politicians and several of the ambitious dreamers rumored to be vying for the Democrats’ next bite at the proverbial apple, the party’s 2028 nomination for president.

It’s been quite a while – about two decades — since senile Joe’s name wasn’t associated with the Democrats’ ultimate prize in one form or another, so it would only seem natural that the Bidens would do something – anything – to keep their names associated with the liberal party’s command structure in his “retirement”.

At least this time, the Biden’s news flash doesn’t involve something son Hunter’s done or perpetrated. Hunter hasn’t impregnated a stripper or been linked to dirty and corrupt foreign business deals of late, so the task for ensuring that the family remains relevant (in the celebrity sense) has fallen to former First Lady “Dr.” Jill Biden, who purportedly penned another defense of her hubby’s White House tenure to try and establish/maintain some sort of legacy for the guy who slowly lost his faculties in front of the entire nation.

Replay a clip or two of Biden and view it alongside one of now-President Donald Trump’s recent public addresses… and you’ll discern quite a distinction between the presidential fraternity bros.

Reality hasn’t stopped “Dr.” Jill from trying to change Americans’ minds, however. In an article titled, “Jill Biden opens up about Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of 2024 election in new memoir”, Sydney Topf reported at the Washington Examiner recently:

“[Dr. Jill’s] memoir, titled View From the East Wing, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at her role as first lady and the impact of the presidency on their family. ‘For the first time, she reveals her experiences before, during, and after the unexpected ending to her husband’s bid for re-election. Throughout it all, she saw herself as an ordinary woman, living an extraordinary life,’ the press release about the book said.

“The memoir will also explore her life during a ‘unique time in U.S. history,’ the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection, according to the press release. In an interview with the Associated Press, Biden said writing the book was healing and a ‘reflection of my four years as first lady.’

“’It was kind of cathartic for me to write it, and I wrote about all the, you know, sometimes painful — but other times, most of it really beautiful moments that Joe and I shared during his presidency,’ she said. The former first lady said she has ‘put things in perspective’ with the book, providing what she describes as a ‘more balanced view’ of her husband’s presidency.”

More balanced view? More balanced view? From what? Senile Joe and his presidency were shielded by the mainstream establishment media and his Democrat support staff as well as his personal handlers. For years, the American public was led to think Senile Joe was completely in charge of his decisions and there was no untoward influence on policy matters whatsoever.

Senile Joe worked overtime to shield his grubby family from legitimate investigations into their personal and business dealings all the while smearing Biden’s predecessor and Republicans in Congress to make himself look capable.

Senile Joe was the lead cheerleader on the phony contrived “insurrection” narrative surrounding the hopelessly biased and corrupted January 6 investigation and made the rounds spreading the lie that Republicans’ attempts to ensure elections integrity constituted “Jim Crow 2.0” – a fabulous fib distortion that persists to this day.

Therefore, what balance was left to restore? Is Dr. Jill finally bent on revealing details of her husband’s steady mental slippage and belatedly praise him for bowing out when he did so almost two years ago?

Topf’s article also reported that Senile Joe has reportedly been toiling diligently to complete his own collection of memoirs, which supposedly will come in around 500 pages when complete, and that the former president has been doing a lot of research on the project. Here’s thinking Senile Joe needs the extra review time because he probably doesn’t have recollection or inkling that any of that stuff was ever done.

Did Senile Joe consult the boxes of mishandled classified documents in his garage to aid in the doing? Did he have to move the corvette to get to them?

Can’t you just hear him saying, “I did WHAT? Who was behind that decision… Kamala?”

Everyone knows the Trump administration initiated an investigation into Biden’s generous employment of the autopen machine, so one can only imagine Senile Joe’s bound to discover quite a bit that’s new to him during the course of his research project. Of course, that’s to say Biden is capable of processing anything in his deteriorated mental state to begin with.

One can only assume Dr. Jill has no such issues with memory and reflection, though the most skilled of writers must be under contract to try and fabricate the most generous spin possible on events the whole world witnessed in Senile Joe’s years.

That’s the “balanced’’ view we can expect from Dr. Jill’s book, which is due to be unveiled in early June. The media will wait with bated breath for its release, rest assured.

Assessing the circumstances, why this and why now?

Most importantly, the Bidens have apparently determined sufficient time has passed between now and the fateful (for them) summer of 2024, when their world came crashing down within the span of a couple hours during the one and only Trump/Biden debate at the end of June. You recall, the forum where Biden could scarcely articulate anything resembling his policies and basically proved in live-action everything Trump and Republicans had described about him for years.

The presidential debate was the jumping off point for Biden’s Democrat critics to emerge from the shadows and call for him to bow out in favor of a replacement Democrat who could string two sentences together and control his – or her – facial expressions so as not to give away the fact Democrats don’t really believe in anything apart from hating on Donald Trump.

Dr. Jill must’ve looked on in horror as even Senile Joe’s closest party allies – Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama among them – schemed to jigger a way to knock the Bidens from their perch and seek a substitute who could represent their side of the story to the American public vis-à-vis Trump.

History says otherwise. Senile Joe defied the others and named Kamala Harris as his preferred choice to fill his shoes going into the general election, a decision most Democrats went along with not only due to the then-president having moral authority on his side, but also because there wasn’t enough time to do otherwise.

The Bidens had the last laugh, didn’t they?

Harris’s subsequent nose dive and loss to Trump opened a convenient “See, I told you!” avenue for Senile Joe to posthumously (the election) claim he was the only one who could’ve defeated Trump, an arguable proposition that will never be tested one way or another.

So, now Dr. Jill has taken her turn to say the things she wanted to say and made her attempt to improve the old goat’s legacy, which most definitely includes hers, too. Michelle Obama ended her two-term White House stay being viewed as a national celebrity and honored spokeswoman for Democrat causes.

But, sad to say (NOT!), no one cares about Dr. Jill Biden and what she thinks. The establishment media will give her interview slots on morning shows and the like, but they’ll surely be more interested in mining for gossip blips in her tome than hearing her side of the Joe-for-Kamala swap of 2024.

One can only hope the Bidens’ version of tell-all books will shed light on some of the 2028 Democrat presidential candidates as well, particularly Kamala Harris herself. Harris’s legacy is forever tied to Senile Joe’s whether she likes it or not.

It’s just compensation for Biden’s identity politics choice to subject the nation to cackling Kamala for those years. But at least Harris provided comic relief during the 2024 campaign. That means something, doesn’t it?

American political leaders are granted sufficient leeway to tell their tales after leaving office, and this principle even applies to the now disgraced duo of Senile Joe and “Dr.” Jill Biden. The Democrat power couple’s ongoing reputational resuscitation project will endure. Does anyone care?
