The passage of time will begin to restore more of what made western Maui a special place to go, well worth the effort and expense. Right now, it’s still a terrific destination, one I’m very fond of and hope to get back to… someday.

Having visited Maui a number of times over the years, I’d never yet taken the infamous “Road to Hana”. Maui veterans had cautioned against it even though the scenery is breathtaking in spurts and, contrary to storied reputation, you can find human-maintained stopping points on the journey.

Simply put, golf in Hawaii is wonderful and fun. The courses are interesting, the service is first-rate and the conditions are up-to-par with expectations.

The Maui Ocean Center was much more than just a place to spend a few hours when we weren’t doing something else during our Hawaiian vacation. The Ocean Center has a little bit of everything regarding the waters surrounding the islands. Fish, reefs, sharks, eels, turtles and Humpback whales (information about them) are found there. A great time is included.
