What do you think John Cornyn will do if he is no longer afraid of his voters? As we’ve seen, you can have an ultra-red state, and they still somehow elect people who run from conservatism like a vampire from a crucifix. He’s already angry because Texas GOP voters have dared to repudiate him. He already hates Donald Trump. That’s a lot of anger and resentment, and it’s all going to play out poorly. We’ve already seen the dumb stuff he does when he has a reelection race hanging over his head.
