There has been a lot of speculation concerning President Trump’s oddly insouciant attitude about the upcoming midterms. He really doesn’t seem very worried about them. He certainly knows that history doesn’t favor the Republicans, even with the recent redistricting wins. Perhaps he is simply resigned to defeat, but it’s more likely that he doesn’t think the normal rules apply to the GOP as long as he is its leader. Or maybe James Blair, is simply keeping the President apprised of the dismal quality of the Democrat candidates.
